Ingredients:
200g Marzipan
1 egg
100g melted
butter
Help yourself
to a piece of almond cake. The outside of the cake forms a hard layer, and the inside of the cake is soft and chewy. Melissa Wong/My Online Journalism Blog |
Directions:
1. Open Marzipan packaging.
2. Microwave marzipan for 10 second intervals in a bowl.
3. Stir between intervals until it resembles a thick paste.
4. Add an egg and mix well into the paste until it resembles cake batter.
5. Microwave the butter until melted.
6. Add the melted butter to the paste and mix together.
7. Pour the almond cake batter into tin cake trays.
8. Cook in the oven at 170 C for about 35 minutes depending on the oven.
9. Take out of the oven and let it cool.
10. Add your choice of toppings once the cake is cool.
11. Once the outer layer is hard, pop out the cake and cut yourself a piece. The inside of the cake should remain soft.
