Giving Tuesday ushers in the holiday season

Giving Tuesday falls on December 3 this year, inspiring people to give back

The Avalon Mall Happy Tree has a new place at the mall.

Giving Tuesday was created to follow Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so that after a few days of shopping then people are encouraged to give back for the holiday season.

It is a social media movement to encourage volunteering and charity.

Memorial University’s Giving Tree received clothing donations
for Giving Tuesday. Other people called in to donate money
 to this cause.

Memorial University accepted hygiene product donations
for Stella Circle. They are also promoting the Stuff
a Stocking program in their call centre.

For 2019’s Giving Tuesday, LUSH created a body lotion
 called Charity Pot
. On December 3, ever purchase of
that body lotion will continue to LUSH’s donation
 to their Charitable giveaway partners.

LUSH’s body lotion called Charity Pot is being
bought on Giving Tuesday. The day is not yet over
and the body lotion is already being bought.
