Food Feature: How to make cherry cakes

Ingredients:

lb butter
¼
lb margarine
2
cups sugar
1
cup warm milk
3
eggs
3
cups flour
1
½ tsp baking powder
1
½ tsp lemon juice
1
½ vanilla
Floured
Glazed Cherries
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 300 Fahrenheit for a slow bake
2. Butter and/or flour a Bundt or loaf pan (you can also use parchment paper)
3. Cream butter, margarine, and sugar in a medium bowl
4. Mix milk and warm water.
These are your wet ingredients
- Add wet ingredients to the creamed mixture
- Add one egg to these ingredients at a time
- Slowly, add the wet, creamed mixture to the dry mixture
- Keep adding the wet mixture to the dry
- Repeat until the wet ingredients and dry ingredients are mixed to make the batter
6. Take a bowl of glazed cherries and coat them with flour
7. Fold the floured cherries into the batter
8. Put the batter into the pan
9. Bake for two hours, check on it at 1¾ "an hour and three-fourths" to see if it is baked
10. Once it is baked, take the pan out of the oven
11. Leave in the pan for an hour to cool
12. Remove from pans and let cool further on a cooling rack
Tip: Loaf/cakes can be put in Christmas bags to give as gifts and if you have a Christmas tin - it can be put in it.
