2. Boil the potatoes on the stovetop with the lid on.
3. Peel and dice an
onion. Remove any layers that have gone bad.
4. Fry the cod. Once
cooked, add onions and savory on top.
5. Check on the
potatoes. If you can easily push through the potatoes with a fork, then they
are done.
6. Drain the water
from the boiled potatoes.
7. Mash the potatoes.
Once mashed, add the butter and blend in with the potatoes.
8. Add the cod,
onion, and savory mixture into the mashed potatoes and mix it all together.
9. Fill a bowl with
flour to cover the fishcakes.
10. Take a handful of
the cod, onion, savory, and potato mixture and make it into a small cake.
11. Cover the fishcake
with flour and place each in a dish until all fishcakes are made.
12. Turn on the
stovetop to medium heat.
13. Coat a pan with
oil.
14. Place the fishcakes onto the hot pan and sprinkle flour on top of each cake, if they seem to have lost some flour.
15. Once browned then
flip over the fishcakes and add more oil if needed.
16. Once both sides are fried then put the fishcakes into a baking dish and put it in the oven to keep warm.
17. When all fishcakes
are ready, then serve the fishcake, on a plate and they will be ready to eat.
Tip 1: Add ketchup
while eating the fishcakes.
